The Council of the City of Kuching South will be organising a members visit members program on 28 March 2003 as part of the Kuching Healthy City Program. The Council will be organising a trip to the Sejingkat Power Plant. The purpose of the visit id to understand the function of the Power Plant.
Apart members from the Council itself the visiting groups will comprise of the members from the Kuching Healthy City Core members comprising of the State Planning Unit, State Health Department, Land & Survey Department, Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara, Padawan Municipal Council.
Program Schedule ---------------- 2.15 - 2.30 p.m: Meet at Wisma Bapa Malaysia Car Park
2.30 - 3.15 p.m: Proceed to Sejingkat Power Plant
3.15 - 5.00 p.m: Briefing at Sejingkat Power Plant
5.00 - 5.45 p.m: Return to Wisma Bapa Malaysia
Sejingkat Power Corporation Sdn. Bhd. (SPC) is jointly owned by SESCo and Sarawak Enterprise Corporation Bhd . The Company was set up to own, operate and maintain a 2x50 MW coal-fired power station as an independent power producer.
