Title: 7th Inter Agency Healthy City Conference |

The annual Inter-Agency Conference, which marked the 7th Inter-Agency Conference on Kuching Healthy City, was held in Bintulu from 17-20 September 2002. The theme was “Environment and Public Health”, which is chosen timely with the world’s concern on the needs for environmental protection and conservation.

Nine papers were presented during the Conference, covering issues on solid waste management, air pollution, cleanliness of food premises and toilets, 3R programme and cleanliness at market place. Apart from that, a workshop session was also conducted to identify the strategies to tackle the issues as well as to identify the responsible agencies to carry out the action.

The Conference was attended by more than 90 participants representing various government agencies and private associations in the State as well as from other states in Peninsula Malaysia.
